Snowmobiling is a sport that has been growing in popularity over the past few years. Ontario in general, and Rainbow Country in particular have thousands of square kilometres of trails for you to enjoy and explore. Trailer your own machine, or rent one when you get here! Many accommodations are easily accessible from trail systems, and offer you everything from modest accommodations to luxury resort facilities.

Snowmobiling in Ontario is fun, easy and safe when trail users abide by the rules and regulations set out by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is dedicated to providing strong leadership and support to member clubs to establish and maintain quality snowmobile trails which are used in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to further the enjoyment of the sport.

There are 276 snowmobile clubs and 17 Districts within the OFSC. To legally use the OFCS trail network you must purchase a trail permit. When purchased before December 1/98 the cost is $100.00 Cdn., $130.00 Cdn. after that date, and the permit is valid for one year. Full season permit bought on trail is $160.00 Temporary 7 day permits are sold for $ 72.50 Cdn. For your snowmobiling pleasure there is approximately 50,000 km. Of groomed and maintained trails in Ontario. There is a massive network of trails available throughout Rainbow Country offering a spectrum of riding adventure. District 10 - Parry Sound Snowmobile District

Delivering world-class snowmobiling product the Parry Sound Snowmobile District represents nine local clubs who offer up over 1100/km 682 miles of picturesque, grommed snowmobile trails.

Whether you're out for a short ride or traveling from region to region PSSD trail system offers something to satifsy everytype of snowmobiler. The numberous resorts, restaurants and service facilities located on or near the trail system are eager to cater to the snowmobiler's every need.

Substantial trail re-alingnment along TOP trail C from Parry Sound south to Mac Tier and TOP C from Pointe au Baril to Byng Inlet have been made in order to address highway changes and to reduce ice travel.

District 11 - Near North Trail Association

The Near North Trail Assoication consists of approximately 3400 kms of trails that the 12 member clubs maintain. In the Near North Trail District there are all types of trails for the beginner or the seasoned rider. Hope to see you on our trails this winter!

District 12 - Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association

The Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association is a co-operative effort between five area clubs, with a total of 1162 km (720 mi) of groomed trails covering the region of Espanola, Manitoulin Island, Killarney, Massey, Beaver Lake, Nairn Centre, McKerrow and Webbwood.

B eautiful scenery and well-maintained trails, the North Channel of Georgian Bay ice crossings, the thrill of riding through the LaCloche Mountains, snowmobile friendly communities that have everything a snowmobiler may ever need or want: Gas, Motels and Restaurants right along side the trail, this is what Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association has to offer!!

District 12 - Sudbury Trail Plan Association

STP boasts 1200 kms (750) miles of snowmobile trails in and around the City of Greater Sudbury. Eight snowmobile clubs are members of the STP association that build and maintain snowmobile trails.

STP sells an OFSC Snowmobile Trail Permit that is valid on all OFSC trails in the Province of Ontario, for further information on permits or if you wish to place your order please contact us.
