Depot Harbour
Located on Wasauksing Ojibway First Nation's Territory (Parry
Island), once a thriving town and the deepest fresh water port
in Canada. Today it is a ghost town; building foundations and

Fire Hall
Constructed in 1893, the original bell called the volunteer firefighters
for 73 years and sounded the nine o'clock curfew until World War
II. The historical landmark has been refurbished and is open to
the public during the summer months. It is located at Market Square,

M.V. Chippewa III
Cruise and dine through the 30,000 Islands aboard the MV Chippewa III, a former Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist. The MV Chippewa is a 65 ft. Classic Georgian Bay tug with charm and charisma. She is fully equipped with washrooms and is also licensed to sell alcoholic beverages. Commentators explain the sights and points of interest along the way with informal talks. Humphrey Township Museum
Located on Highway 141, just opposite Clear Lake Road, the Museum features artifacts from the late 1800's, primarily found in the former Humphrey Township. It is open in the summer months.

Seguin Recreational Trail
Begins at the Information Centre (10 minutes south of Parry Sound) and extends 61 km eastward. The trail is available for walking and biking, with designated areas for motorized recreational vehicles in the summer and fall. For more information call 1-800-461-4261.
Observation Tower
Located next to the museum on Tower Hill. Climb 131 steps to reach
the top. The view over the town and Georgian Bay is breathtaking
and well worth the climb.

Boating
Parry Sound has always
been a boater's paradise. Located in the heart of the 30,000 Islands
of Georgian Bay, the area offers a water experience second to
none. Virtually every water sport is available in the Parry Sound
Area.Georgian Bay and more than 1,000 inland lakes beckon.Canoeing,
kayaking, power and sail boating enthusiasts will enjoy the endless
days of summer. For transient boaters, Big Sound Marina or Town
Dock are in close proximity to the downtown Parry Sound core.
If you come by boat, dockage, fuel and supplies are available
at one of the many full-service marinas that dot the shoreline.
From sunrise to sunset there are water activities for all. Local
marinas rent boats for your boating pleasure.
For your comfort the Big Sound Marina and Town Dock are fully
equipped with showers, laundry facilities, washrooms, electrical

Fishing
The Parry Sound Area is renowned for its world class sport fishing.
The local waters teem with bass, pike, lake trout and muskie.
Expert guides offer charters; several marinas rent boats; bait
shops and ice hut rentals serve winter anglers.
Golfing
Set in the Precambrian shield, the Parry Sound Area offers two
golf courses. Deer Run Golf Course and Parry
Sound Golf and Country Club. Both clubs offer licensed facilities
and an exciting round of golf. Enjoy a scenic and challenging
game in the great outdoors.
Winter in the Play Land
When old man winter sets in, he brings on new activities, such
as snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, dog sledding,
and snowshoeing . . . just to mention a few. This is in addition
to the unsurpassed beauty of the ice-covered pines, the beautiful
inland lakes and Georgian Bay. The West Parry Sound Snowsport
Association encompasses nine volunteer snowmobile clubs within
the West Parry Sound Area.
