The West Parry Sound District Museum

The West Parry Sound District Museum, in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, on the eastern shoreof Georgian Bay offers a changing calendar of exhibits in three galleries. Themes of trapping, First Nations, shipping, logging, farming, rail and cottaging are featured. We also offer a variety of fine art and special exhibits.

Situated in picturesque Tower Hill Park, visitors are invited to stroll through the gardens, have a picnic, or climb the 96 foot observation tower, which provides a breathtaking view of the town, Parry Island and the Big Sound.

This summer's featured exhibit, "The Avro Arrow: A Dream Denied" is a tribute to the plane that is remembered as Canada's best chance to be at the forefront of international aerospace industry. Photographs, stories, documents and artifacts from the original planes will be on display.
