Pleasure craft may enter Ontario by trailer or under their own
power. The required entry permit is issued by Customs at the port/point
of entry and returned at the port/point of departure. All boats
powered by motors 10 hp or over must be licenced and the licence
number clearly indicated on both sides of the vessel. Boat licences
from outside Ontario are acceptable.

The M.S. Chi-Cheemaun the largest passenger / vehicle ship on the Great Lakes. There are daily spring, summer and fall departures between Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island. The crossing takes 1- 3/4 hours from either direction. Rainbow Country is centrally located in the heart of Ontario, connected by Highways from all directions.
From the south take Highway 400 north from Toronto to Highway 69, Rainbow Country starts just before Parry Sound, approx. 200 km / 2 hours north of Toronto.
From the east follow Highway 17 West, you enter Rainbow Country at the Town of Warren, 430 km / 5 hours from Ottawa.
From the west follow Highway 17 East, Rainbow Country begins prior to the town of Massey, 205 km / 2 1/2 hours east of Sault Ste. Marie.
From the north, follow Highway 144 South past Gogama, Rainbow Country begins due south of Highway 560.
