Outdoor adventure at it's best.

It’s the dawning of a new family adventure – an all terrain vehicle adventure, here in Rainbow Country.

This emerging sport is just now coming to the forefront of family style activities. Trail development and support resources for ATVing are in the process of being created and refined. Resorts and lodges are picking up on this trend. Many are turning their winter trails to year round use trails. Although trail links from one travel area to the next are not completed there is still vast areas of easily accessible riding terrain. Come experience Rainbow Country via ATV.

Safety
Under Ontario’s Off-Road Vehicle Act ATVs must be registered with the Ministry of Transportation and drivers must be 16 years of age or older. Upon registration the owner will be supplied with a vehicle permit and a license plate. Persons under the age of 12 are not permitted to drive an ATV except on land owned or occupied by the vehicle owner, or under close supervision of an adult. A helmet is mandatory for all ATV drivers. ATVs are not to be driven on or along a highway (some specific exceptions under the Act).

ATV riders must have a valid driver’s license to cross a highway.

Wear the proper gear
Protect yourself. Always wear your helmet. Eye protection should always be worn. Long sleeve shirts and full-length pants are a good way to minimize scratches. Gloves can save your hands from tiredness, soreness, and bruising. Steel-toed boots with good ankle support are also a good idea. Wearing off-road protection gear, such as elbow and kneepads, chest protectors and the like can make a big difference in the advent of a spill.

Use common sense
Always ride within your limitations, and the limitations of your ATV. Never try to climb hills which are too steep. Never operate an ATV while under the influence of alcohol
or other drugs.

Know your machine
Be sure to read your owner’s manual before riding.
